Fox: James Cameron Announces Four Sequels to ‘Avatar’

USA Today: Three “Avatar” sequels are not enough for director James Cameron. The director said he will make four “Avatar” sequels, with “Avatar 2” hitting screens Christmas 2018. Cameron was a surprise guest at the end of 20th Century Fox’s presentation at CinemaCon, the annual convention for theater owners. Cameron wrote, directed and produced 2009’s Avatar, which has grossed nearly $2.8 billion.
