Vox’s Re/code Founder to Run for Mayor of San Francisco

SF Gate: Prominent tech reporter Kara Swisher says she plans to run for San Francisco mayor in 2023. It’s hardly the news one would expect from the woman described by New York magazine in 2014 as “Silicon Valley’s most feared and well-liked journalist.” But Swisher said she’s serious. A former Wall Street Journal columnist, Swisher co-founded the San Francisco technology news website Re/code in 2014 with journalist Walt Mossberg. Vox Media acquired the site last year.
