New Republic CEO to Depart on Heels of Magazine’s Editor

Politico: Guy Vidra, the CEO of The New Republic, is stepping down and will leave the company entirely at the end of the month, marking the second major exit from the publication since publisher Win McCormack purchased the magazine from Chris Hughes in February. “I want to let you know that I have decided to transition to an advisory role at TNR,” Vidra said in an internal staff memo.
