OWN Staffers Blindsided by Departure of Co-President

New York Post: Staff at OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, were blindsided by news that co-president and longtime Oprah Winfrey confidante Sheri Salata is leaving the network to launch her own firm, a “brand innovation agency and content/story platform.” A company insider said there was “an audible gasp” after Winfrey announced the move in a companywide meeting at the Los Angeles headquarters this week.
