Disney Chief Attends Test of Broadway-Bound ‘Frozen’

New York Post: Disney has held a top-secret reading of the stage version of “Frozen” — and word around the Magic Kingdom is that the show has the potential to be a “Lion King”-size blockbuster. The reading was held at the New 42nd Street rehearsal studio for Disney insiders only. Sources say Disney chief Bob Iger, who attended the reading and plans to be heavily involved, was impressed. “Frozen” will play an out-of-town tryout in Denver next summer before opening in New York in spring 2018.
