New York Post: Liberty Media chief John Malone fears deep-pocketed Silicon Valley tech giants will continue to steal away eyeballs from his cable companies. Malone, who has spent a lifetime building cable businesses, said that “the nightmare for any business is a dumb rich competitor.” The cable pioneer added: “The capital investments our industry made, created the network capabilities that allow the Googles and the Apples and the Facebooks to succeed. We’re sort of part of that, but we’re also threatened by it.”
