Huffington Post: Vice Media has announced a reorganization intended to consolidate its news divisions and bolster its video offerings. As a part of the shuffle, Vice has laid off 15 employees in New York and Los Angeles. The company also laid off three full-time U.K. employees. The layoffs come amid a string of hires at Vice, with around 20 new staffers joining the company. That’s in addition to the promotion of Josh Tyrangiel to oversee all of Vice’s international news operations. The former Bloomberg exec joined Vice last October.
