WWD: Vice Media is looking to enter a new stage of growth. The media firm last week elevated former Bloomberg chief content officer Josh Tyrangiel to oversee news operations across the company, a move that underscores its desire to compete with journalistic enterprises it has long compared itself to such as “60 Minutes,” CNN and the BBC. On Wednesday, Tyrangiel circulated a memo about his latest round of hires, bringing the tally to 25 since he joined Vice late last year.
