YouTuber Hired by Disney to Mock ‘High School Musical’

New York Times: Disney XD, a cable channel that programs gently rowdy content for teenagers, has hired the anonymous producer behind YouTube’s absurdist Bad Lip Reading channel to mock the “High School Musical” franchise. The resulting special will run on Disney XD on Monday. Bad Lip Reading takes real footage — news, sporting events, television dramas — and dubs over the dialogue.
