Verifone Looks to Replace New York’s Taxi TV with Tablets

Daily News: Taxi TV, already on the brink of cancellation in New York City, could give way to sleek tablets packed with apps — allowing passengers to make restaurant reservations or stream music from the backseat of a cab. Verifone, one of the companies that brought Taxi TV to cabs in 2007,  could replace the bulky TV touchscreen with a sleek 10-inch Android tablet.
