Telegraph: The chairman of the BBC is to step down as the head of the corporation’s governing body, after Theresa May reversed David Cameron’s decision to allow her to stay in her post until 2018. Rona Fairhead, who heads the BBC Trust said she would not put her name forward to become the chair of a powerful new governing board that will come into existence in the New Year.
