Associated Press Acquires British Movietone Film Archive

Wall Street Journal: The Associated Press can now dig a little deeper into its archives. The 170-year-old news operation has acquired the British Movietone newsreel archive, featuring footage dating back to 1929. The acquisition adds a considerable amount of historic film footage to the AP’s collection own collection, which is largely made up of film and video shot after 1979.
