Verizon: We Deserve a Discount on Deal to Acquire Yahoo

New York Post: Verizon’s lawyers have started to press their case with Yahoo that the telcom giant deserves a discount on its $4.8 billion purchase of the web portal. Outgoing CFO Fran Shammo said Verizon has a case for re-negotiating the price because Yahoo’s announcement on Sept. 22 that 500 million user accounts were hacked created a Material Adverse Condition, or MAC.
