TheStreet Promotes Staffer After Laying Off Editor in Chief

TalkingBizNews: Tara Murphy, who had been named managing editor of TheStreet.com earlier this year, has been promoted to editor in chief. The previous editor in chief, Jeffrey Kanige, lasted in the role less than a year and was laid off earlier this fall. Murphy is a veteran of Hearst, Forbes and Merrill Lynch.
