Disney’s ABC Silent as Oscars Add Fees to Red Carpet

Los Angeles Times: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has begun charging a fee to TV stations and networks that broadcast live shows with interviews of movie stars on the red carpet before the Academy Awards telecast. The move comes after the introduction of a new TV rights deal with long-term partner ABC.
