Verizon CEO to Retire, to Be Succeeded by Chief Tech Officer

MarketWatch: Verizon said Friday CEO Lowell McAdam will retire after seven years in the role. He will be succeeded by Hans Vestberg, who is currently president of global networks and chief technology officer, effective Aug. 1. McAdam will serve as executive chairman through his retirement, then become non-executive chairman.
