Tronc to Increase Price of Daily News Following Mass Layoffs

New York Post: After chopping half of the Daily News newsroom, owner Tronc is now planning to hike the price of the daily paper by 50 percent starting Aug. 6. “Makes sense, I guess,” said one insider sarcastically. “Why cut circulation when you can just let circulation cut itself?”
