Netflix Publicity Chief Exits for Production Firm Blumhouse

O’Dwyer’s: Netflix VP publicity for original series Karen Barragan is heading to Blumhouse Productions, where she will be head of marketing and communications. Barragan has been with Netflix since 2012. The first publicity executive on the streaming service’s communications team, she helped direct the company through its push toward original content.
