Essence Magazine Publisher Plans Headquarters in Brooklyn

Crain’s New York Business: Essence Communications, publisher of Essence magazine and owner of the Essence Festival, will soon move to a new headquarters in industry City, Brooklyn. The media company, a voice for African-American women for nearly five decades, has taken a 10-year lease on 29,000 square feet at 34 35th Street.
