New York Post: MNG, better known as Digital First Media, sent shudders through the media industry with a $1.4 billion hostile takeover bid for Gannet. But insiders are skeptical whether MNG owner Alden Global Capital can raise the money to make good on its offer. In fact, sources say that MNG’s ambition is to be acquired by Gannett.
