Daily Beast: New York Times reporter David Barstow is said to have gone behind his colleagues’ backs to try and ghostwrite a book with a source for a massive payday — a move expressly forbidden by the publisher’s ethics rules. He reportedly pursued the source even after editors told him not to do the book.
