Apple to Begin Funding Original Podcasts to Fend Off Rivals

Bloomberg: Apple plans to fund original podcasts that would be exclusive to its audio service, increasing its investment in the industry to keep rivals Spotify and Stitcher at bay. Apple execs have reached out to media companies to discuss buying rights.
