Viacom’s MTV Loses Cultural Clout Ahead of Video Music Awards

Washington Post: On Tuesday, MTV dropped the nominations for the 2019 Video Music Awards. The announcement barely made a blip among more prominent news items such as what happened in the “Big Little Lies” finale and A$AP Rocky’s ongoing imprisonment. Alas, MTV isn’t the culture force that it once was.
