CBS, Viacom Tout Content Creation as Big Merger Deal Looms

The Information: Shari Redstone’s two media companies, Viacom and CBS, both reported increases in U.S. ad sales, a first for Viacom in five years. That’s good news given that both companies are expected to shortly announce a merger. Company execs declined to say anything about the merger talks.
