Gannett Layoffs Get Underway After Deal with GateHouse

Poynter:  Layoffs are continuing at Gannett, which recently merged with GateHouse to form the nation’s largest newspaper chain. A spreadsheet tracking the layoffs listed 15 newspapers affected, with 27 newsroom staffers laid off.
