iHeartMedia to Phase Out Use of Term ‘Urban’ for Music

Bloomberg: Warner Music Group, one of the three major record companies, plans to stop using the term “urban” to refer to music by black artists. iHeartMedia, the largest radio company in the US, also will phase out the expression, opting for hip-hop or R&B instead.
