Wall Street Journal: The New York Times plans to acquire Serial Productions, the maker of the hit podcast “Serial,” a deal that aims to further the newspaper’s podcasting ambitions. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but the transaction could be worth as much as $50 million.
