Financial Times: A group of investors including Mark Thompson and Lionel Barber has acquired the New European, a weekly publication owned by Archant that has been a focal point for Brexit resistance. The New European has a combined weekly print and online circulation of around 20,000. Investors are banking on the New European’s potential to find a market of readers who do not feel at home with rival news periodicals.
