Politico Media: Former New York Times technology chief Marc Frons is joining News Corp. as SVP and global head of mobile platforms and deputy head of technology. In the new role, announced internally Friday, he will report to News Corp. CTO Paul Cheesbrough. Frons left his post as the Times’ chief information officer in May as the company was solidifying a new senior leadership team with a laser-like focus on digital transformation.
