Time Inc’s Sports Illustrated Award Gets a Redo

WLKY: Sports Illustrated named Muhammad Ali one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. Now, the magazine is renaming its legacy award in his honor and unveiling a new cover featuring “The Greatest.” Sports Illustrated is also renaming its legacy award, which honors sports figures who embody sportsmanship and philanthropy, in his honor. Fifty years after it was snapped, the iconic 1965 picture of Muhammad Ali in his boxing stance with his red gloves on will grace the new cover of Sports Illustrated.
