Chicago Tribune: Tribune Publishing has offered buyouts to non-union employees across the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and its other media holdings in a bid to cut costs. The buyouts would give employees one week of base pay for every year of employment up to 10 years, two weeks for 11 to 20 years and three weeks for years 21 and up, with a cap at a year’s pay. “It is critical that we make hard decisions and take the necessary steps that continue to position Tribune Publishing for success over the long term.”
