MTV Former Show Host Dies in Apparent Suicide

People: Samuel Sarpong, a model, actor and former MTV host, has died, his rep confirmed. He was 40. On Monday, Pasadena, Calif., law enforcement and fire officials responded to calls of a man on a bridge, later confirmed to be Sarpong. Police said a statement that family members were called to the scene. “Tragically, after approximately seven hours of communication, the male jumped from the bridge,” the police statement read.
