Wall Street Journal: Although the Kansas City Royals beat the New York Mets in just five games in the World Series, TV ratings were up compared to last year thanks in large part to how competitive the contests were. According to Nielsen, Fox’s coverage averaged 14.7 million viewers per game. That is 6.5% better than last year’s seven game series in which the San Francisco Giants beat the Kansas City Royals and averaged 13.8 million viewers.
