Bloomberg: The film finale of “The Hunger Games,” one of Hollywood’s most valuable franchises, had the smallest debut of any in the Lions Gate Entertainment series. “Mockingjay – Part 2,” the fourth movie based on the Suzanne Collins young-adult book trilogy, collected $101 million in U.S. and Canadian ticket sales. That was far short of expectations. Interest in “The Hunger Games” films has dropped off since the first two movies, which each opened above $150 million.
