Cox Won’t Be Shielded from Illegal User Downloads

Wall Street Journal: Copyright laws don’t shield a major Internet provider from liability for illegal music downloading by its subscribers, according to a ruling in a closely watched case between cable company Cox Communications and two music publishers. The ruling could open the door to more downloading lawsuits against the cable industry by movie studios and music publishers, according to some legal experts.
