ESPN, Intel Team Up to Showcase Real-Time Athletics

Next Web: Intel has announced a partnership with ESPN to embed its tiny Curie computer in athletes’ gear at the annual X Games sports competition to track real-time performance. This includes statistics like in-air rotations, jump height, jump distance, speed and force on landing. The Intel-fueled X Games will begin Jan. 28; viewers will be able to see athletes’ real-time statistics on TV as they watch the games on ESPN.
