Politico’s European Edition Staffs Up for Launch in April

Capital New York: Politico Europe, the Arlington, Va.-based company’s foray into the European media market, has a launch date — April 21 — and a roster of new journalists to add to its ranks. “As of next month, Politico will have more reporters in the two main political and regulatory centers of the world — Washington and Brussels — than any other publication,” Politico top editors said in a note to staff. Among the hires is a name that will be familiar in New York City political and media circles: Tara Palmeri, a city hall reporter for the New York Post who famously tussled with Alec Baldwin.
