Financial Times: Corbis, the image licensing company owned by Bill Gates, has sold its picture library business to Visual China Group, in the latest U.S. media acquisition by a Chinese buyer. The deal includes the Bettmann Collection, 16 million images that represent one of the most renowned groups of 19th and 20th century pictures, and the Sygma Archive, which holds 34 million images of Europe’s historical events. The price paid by VCG was not disclosed.
