AL.com: Birmingham, Ala. -based Southern Living magazine launched its 50th anniversary celebration, as chefs, authors and 300 guests came out to mingle with many of the former editors and staffers who helped build the title. The anniversary party also was the public unveiling of the new, state-of-the-art Time Inc. Food Studios, a 40,000-square-foot facility that occupies the entire fifth floor of the Time Inc. building on Old Montgomery Highway in Homewood, Ala.
