Digital First Eyes Acquisition of Orange County Register

News and Tech: Digital First Media, owner of the Los Angeles Daily News, has expressed interested in acquiring the Orange County Register of Freedom Communications, along with other assets of the now bankrupt company. Other likely bidders for the company’s assets include Tribune Publishing and a group led by Freedom CEO Rich Mirman and Santa Ana developer Mike Harrah.
