Google Unit Unveils ‘Leaner, Meaner’ Human-Like Robot

Boston Globe: Google-owned Boston Dynamics has released a video of the latest version of its human-shaped Atlas robot. It’s now a leaner, meaner, quieter machine. In the video, you can see the two-legged robot accompany a person on a winter hike in the woods. It can also open doors, pick up and place boxes. It carries what looks like a power source on its back like a jetpack. When it falls, it picks itself up.
