Financial Times: AT&T plans to start selling a version of DirecTV to customers without a satellite dish via smartphones and other devices, as it seeks to appeal to a generation of “cord-cutting” consumers who are ditching traditional pay-television packages. The move is the latest attempt by a pay-TV group to sign up millennial subscribers who have little interest in paying $100 per month for hundreds of channels delivered through a traditional TV set.
