Twitter’s Jack Dorsey Tweets Thank You to Journalists

Re/code: Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey celebrated the social media website’s ninth birthday with a tweet storm about how much the news media has meant to the site. A tweet storm is a nice (if cheap) way to thank the thousands of reporters, editors, anchors and other media people who have spent years providing free content, videos and promotion to Twitter. “Journalists were a big part of why we grew so quickly,” Dorsey tweeted, “and still a big reason by people use Twitter: news. It’s a natural fit.”
