Oprah Steers Turnaround at Her OWN TV Network

Wall Street Journal: Oprah Winfrey has steered a remarkable ratings turnaround at her OWN cable network, even as many of its rivals have lost viewers. She has taken a bigger creative role, shifting its lineup toward increasingly ambitious dramas. Her company has a put option that would require Discovery to purchase all or part of its stake at fair market value, and the first window for that put option closes at the end of the month.
