New York Post: Metro and amNewYork readers are a bunch of slobs who toss the free newspapers on the tracks when they are done reading them, an MTA board member griped as he proposed banning the dailies from being handed out in the subway system. Agency board member Charles Moerdler said that the transit system has been inundated with extra trash because of the papers and that the litter has contributed to an increase in track fires.
