MarketWatch: Time Warner Cable has denied a report that it was expected to take a charge of up to $1 billion to write down the value of a deal to televise Los Angeles Dodgers games that has gone bad, saying there is no asset to write down. The New York Post had reported that Time Warner Cable would take the charge because it was not able to get rival pay-TV operators to carry its SportsNet LA network, which holds exclusive rights to Dodgers baseball games. “We continue to believe in the long-term value of the network.”
