Sky Inks First Pan-European Movie Deal with Sony Pictures

Financial Times: Sky has signed its first pan-European movie deal with Sony Pictures to first show its films including forthcoming releases such as “Ghostbusters” and “Angry” in the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy. Sky had previously agreed deals with Sony on a country basis but has begun negotiating regional contracts with content suppliers since its acquisition of Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia two years ago.
