Viacom’s Sumner Redstone ‘Sideshow’ Distracts Wall Street

New York Post: Viacom’s next earnings call will be in two weeks. Street analysts are pretty much split on the company’s near-term future. Four analysts have a sell rating and 17 have a hold or a neutral rating, while 14 have a buy on the stock. “We’re overwhelmed by the sideshow,” said one stock expert, referring to the ongoing court case involving controlling shareholder Sumner Redstone and his former caregiver, Manuela Herzer.
