Politico: Two high-level staffers are leaving Mashable for CNN, the network announced. Deputy executive editor Amanda Wills is joining the network as senior editor on the Digital News Desk, and Mashable’s real time news editor Brian Ries is joining CNN as a senior producer on the Social Publishing team. Both will be based in New York. The departures at Mashable were voluntary, though they come one month after the website laid off about 30 staffers.
