Vice CEO ‘Rocks Out’ with News of 20 Global TV Channels

Los Angeles Times: Vice Media’s Shane Smith delivered an unexpectedly rousing performance of Sham 69’s “If the Kids Are United” at his youth-oriented digital media company’s “newfront” presentation Friday. After a brief poetry reading and a few rambling comments, including an admission that he’d “had a few ales” before taking the stage, Smith also said that Vice will launch up to 20 new TV channels around the world, following the recent network deals in the U.S., Canada, the UK.. and France.
